What's eating Gilbert Grape. Fantastic

I really enjoyed "The Quick and the Dead", the Sam Raimi-directed western starring Sharon Stone, Russell Crowe, and Gene Hackman.... "The Aviator" was OK -- worth a rental, but I stand by my opinion that Martin Scorsese hasn't made a truly GREAT film since "The Last Temptation of Christ"...

The Man in the Iron Mask was a good one. The Beach was interesting although I wasn't crazy about the end. There's also Gangs of New York and Basketball Diaries but I haven't seen either.
-
Another film of his that I like a lot that hasn't been mentioned is The Basketball Diaries. What's Eating Gilbert Grape and Romeo + Juliet are also favorites of mine.
-
What's eating Gilbert Grape which is a great film, first one I saw him in and he was outstanding!!! But I just don't like him in other movies. And he was also in Man with the Iron Mask and Aviator.

"The Quick and the Dead" is pretty good, if you like a slightly goofy, slapstick-y Western. It starts Sharon Stone, Russell Crowe, and DiCaprio as participants in a quick-draw gunfighting tournament hosted by the evil mayor of the town, played by Gene Hackman. It's directed by Sam Raimi, who also made the "Spider-Man" movies and the "Evil Dead" trilogy...
-
Revolutionary Road just came out on dvd recently, I liked it a lot, but I guess it could be considered somewhat of a chick flick
