Neither. All of my animals were given to me by friends who couldn't keep them.

Shelter or stray. There are enough animals needing families without breeding them.

My first dog was a mutt we got from a friend whose dog was accidentally pregnant. My second dog was a full breed but from a pet store... before I knew about the kind of people who supply pet stores. My 3rd dog was from a friend down the street who bred his dog to replace some pups that his mother had that were killed in an accident. My 3 cats were all stray kittens that were starving and found their way to my home. Prior to them I despised all cats. Now I only despise 1 of the 3.

I don't have any pets, but if/when I do get one, it'll most likely be from a shelter (espeically if there's a ferret there).

A shelter and the street respectively. Awesome kitties too. Lovable good friends to me and my family.

My dog came to me from my neighbors yard. He kept running away from their house, and coming to my house, so they finally stopped coming to take him back. I've had him about three years now.

Humane Society - Then SHE had puppies (she was supposed to have been fixed - That's what THEY told us and out vet did too). We gave 3 pups away and kept Mama and two (black lab mixes.) Then my wife's 12yo dog from back home had pups and we got one - rat-terrier/spitz mix)

we bought the first four felines and then the other 3 we sort of stole off of the people over the road.

Wrigley, my little bundle of fluff, is from a Breeder in Indiana and a gift from my sister. (if it'd been up to ME to name 'im it woulda been Chewbacca!) Note the last two are not my Wrigley but undoubtedly the same breed which is a Soft-coated Wheaton Terrier.

I got my cat from a pet shop in Blackpool 10 years ago. The pet shop isn't there anymore, it was torched by an arsonist a few months back :(

My last cat came from a box at the "Blue Seal" feed company where someone had dropped a litter off. She was the best cat ever, by the way.

Frank found me Christmas day about six years ago at my parent's house. It was snowing, and he was standing on the ledge of their picture window trying to get into their house by slowly scratching the glass, and trying to talk. Powerful eyes!

Well,he is deceased but,,,I got Lakota (Norwegian Elk hound) from a friend who couldn't keep him,for whatever reason,,I was very close to him.

Off the street in a very bad condition in Australia. Now we are happily living together in Austria. She has been to more countries than a lot of people.

Well apparentily they can sense my front porch from miles around...so they find me.

A person next door and we were having a BBQ and when she introduced me to "Nash" (who at the time was only 4 months old and a beautiful black lab) he proceded to jump up on the picknick table and steal a "pork chop"! Well I knew from then on I had to take him because he just had to have been my "real" son! And Thanks for your question it brought up happy thoughts of the past!

My fav dog came from a sheltie breed and I dont think I would every have a better dog then her, but my sis puppy is a pound pup. I (PPL DONT GET MAD) but I love purebreds more then mutts. I want a lab and thats all. If I do want a mutt I would like a sheltie/beagle, lab/sheltie, lab/beagle.
