I found a pink toothbrush in my boyfriend's bathroom and it isn't mine. Is it too soon to jump to conclusions? I confronted him and he said his mom just gave him an extra one she got from the dentist. Sounds fishy... but we've been together for years.

If you have been together for years, and he has given you no other reason to mistrust him, why are you now? i do encourage you to think on this as in most cases the person being cheated on "knows before they know"... just a funny feeling in the gut that something is amiss. If you have suspected him in the past, and if you honestly do not feel you are a naturally suspicious person, then listen to what you are telling yourself. The very fact that you would question it at all, even if you don't know why, may bear looking into. The only way to confront a partner of cheating is to have proof and then not accept "innocent" as an answer, but to only give the choice of "admitting and working towards repairing things" or admitting and packing his stuff "to go

You've been with him for years and never found the brush before? Was it in an obvious place, or in the back of a drawer? I have a LOT of stuff from my previous marriage in my house, some hers, some my kids, etc. And dentists DO give out toothbrushes. If Mom used a Crest Spin Brush or something like that, she would have little use for it, so might give it to him. Did you have other suspiscions? If not, yes... It's too early to jump to conclusions. And why would that "sound fishy"? Do you not TRUST your BF?

My husband just buys a toothbrush he doesn't even look at colour and would use whatever was given him, I would not be thinking he was cheating because he was using a pink toothbrush.

It's a toothbrush. If he's anything like the men I know, he never so much as noticed it was pink. My dentist never so much as checks colors for adults. The only time I've had to ask for another one was when my husband and I both got the same color and wouldn't have been able to tell them apart. And seriously, if he were having another friend around it'd have to be really pretty serious for her to be bringing a toothbrush, and you'd have a LOT of other clues before the pink toothbrush clue. It's just a toothbrush... don't read anything into it.
