Yes I always give points to people that answer my questions and say thank you. I had one guy go through my questions and answer 15 in a row a couple of weeks ago he did not give a single point or leave a comment. He knew that I always gave points so was just harvesting. He has done the same to other people.

I sort of get upset, I won't lie about it. But, I still give everyone who answers my question points. I guess it's like bribery...And sometimes, I magically get points back - it's like people withhold points until I show them love. I always feel like a horses ass when I'm maxed out on someone point-wise and they answer my question and they have a big fat zero and everyone else has something.

I always give points when someone answers my questions. I also comment to what they have said. I know I have forgotten a few times when I have been away from AB for awhile but I always go back and catch up later.

I've noticed that a lot of people are answering a lot of my questions but not giving my questions the points they deserve. This has seemed to have gotten worst over the last few weeks. I still give them the answer points but I leave a comment about them not giving points for the question. Most of the answerers will return and give points for the question but some people get very put out by my comment insisting that they do leave points. A lot of people will wait for their answer points before they give points for the question. They do this because there are people who take the points for their questions but never read any of their answers. You can check some of the profiles of the notorious "points farmers" and find points given for their questions but no points given for the answers that they receive.

Yes! I always use common curtisy. Why punish the one who was nice enough to answer. Sometimes people forget, I've given pts for answers when 0 was given for my Q, and then suddenly I was given a point. But really don't ask a question (just) for the points, all the time.

g'day blueeyedlullaby, Thank you for your question. I have a policy of giving people who answer my questions points and thanking them in the comments. Occasionally, I don't but I mostly do it. Regards

Its a bit annoying, when you ask a question that only gets 2 or 3 points but one of the answers gets 40 - 50 for example.

sure

That rarely happens with zero points for a question. I give points to those who answer regardless of whether the question is rated up, at least I always try to.
-
If the answers are good or funny, yes. If they make no sense, no. And there are times I forget. I DO try to remember to go back and give points, and try to thank them.
-
I give four or six points (usually six) to everyone who answers my questions as long as they give at least a decent answer. And, no, it doesn't matter to me how many points I get for a question nor how many answers.

I get a little upset, but I give everyone points. Unless the answer is outlandishly wrong or something!!
