  • No, I think it was political and economic issues that did Rome in. Nothing supernatural :) But it's an interesting hypothesis.
  • I'm with Tinkerbell on this one and no, an imaginary deity didn't cause the fall of the Roman empire for a political conversion to another imaginary deity.
  • If jupiter was god(existing) .....would he leave another God get all the credit?
  • If Jupiter existed, I don't think he brought the fall of the Roman empire because they converted to Christianity, I think it would have to be because Jupiter is actually Zeus and they stole him from the Greek. That would piss me off too, if I was some sort of deity. But eh, I always thought that Rome fell because it became much too large to manage and rebels like barbarian tribes and Roman citizens who were unhappy with things found a good opportunity to strike back at this civilized oppression. That, and that Nero guy was a crazy bastard, playing his violin while half the world burned to ashes.
