  • I had hamsters for years and that's just what they do. It never hurt any of mine, yours should be just fine :)
  • you can blow on her face and it with discourage her, or take her out of her cage for a few minutes and play with her; she might forget about chewing the cage. You can also go to any pet store and buy these things that look like bones, there white and there about $2-$3. If none of that works you can put something up against the bars so she cant get to the bars. Good Luck with your hammy.
  • just by an aquarium and see how she does. well only if dont have an aquarium anywhere
  • You can't stop your hamster from chewing on her cage. They chew on anything and everything. If you are worried, you can buy a different type of cage that she cannot chew on, but I don't believe the paint will hurt her.
  • Dude, she's a rat. Get over it.
  • You could also try getting her a bigger cage or spending more time playing with her outside of the cage. Bar chewing is common in hamsters but is usually a sign of boredom or frustration.
  • my hamater did that and i got really worried about her. but i started doing more with her and carrying her round the house and letting her play in a ball and i think she was doing as a way to try and escape so i just kept tirering her out so she wanted to sleep and she was fine... plus i don't think the paint on the bars will harm her because the cage is specially designed for hamsters so the paint will be hamster safe good luck with her..
