Because Jesus commanded us to do so. Next time you are at mass listen to what the priest is saying when he consecrates the host and you will learn why you need to go to Mass. remember Christ says. "Do this in memory of me" Do you think he was kidding? That is why you go to Mass. Because you are commanded to.
