I want to get advice from some of my friends about what I should do about my best friend. She won't come over cause she doesn't like my family, but she wants me to go to her house. If I talk to my friends about her I will feel like I'm gossiping. Help!!!!

i had a b/f that only wanted me to come to his house because he didn't like coming over. That's tough. Sometimes in life we have difficult friends. It the friendship is good then maybe just go hang at her house if you don't mind her parents.

Does she have a reason why she doesn't like your family? I would get to the bottom of her reasoning and if its just laziness you need to stop catering and invite other friends over.

well fair play to you, I couldn't talk to my friends about another friend like that either! sounds a little bit like double standards to me. You are expected to go to her house to see her and there's no question of do you like or dislike my family, you just go whereas she has already stipulated she does not like your family. you need answers directly from her so pick an opportune moment, not on a homework night and ask her what the problem is.

It sounds really fishy, but there's something that has to be worked out, maybe talk to your friend, go home write it down, talk to your parents on how they feel about that friend, write it down, then compare notes, I'm sure it would make it easier to then talk to both parties about what's really going on.
