Help answer this question below.
The sinks have the most bacteria, because people wash them off there and it is a moist area in which bacteria can survive for longer periods of time.
I would have guessed the doorknob.
we did this in my school a while ago and the places with the most bacteris were the coin slots in the vending machines and the stair banister. Also the computer keyboard was pretty disgusting.
In my class it was the handle to the paper towel dispenser! Yuck!
The carpet outside the doorstep?
Saw the answer, but was going to guess soap dish/dispenser handle...
Even though I saw the answer I'm still gonna guess the toilet bowl just above the water line. :P
When I was an undergrad, we did a very similar test... we checked different surfaces in the building, but did not stick to the bathroom. It was an extra credit assignment, so I don't think anyone put too much thought into what to test.
We found that water fountains had the highest counts, followed by doors. The hall floors were surprisingly clean... better than the chalkboard, actually.
Nope, but I wish you would tell me!
Either the sink knobs or the door handles?
Doorknob? Faucet?
I think it's the door "Knob" and the counter !
" +2
it would be the doorknobs. and i took samples from the lift buttons in the school too. very dirty indeed!
door handle
it is true the sink and im sure the floor by the sink and the trash can but i dont think yall put your hands in it.
Wherever the dirty hands get the action.
Probably the sink - bacteria tend to thrive on wet surfaces.
Soap.
Probably the hands of whoever was in it at the time.
The sink.
thanks for telling, thanks to hand dryers....

You're reading When I was in undergrad Biology, we did a lab where we tested all the surfaces of the public restroom to find the one covered with the most bacteria. Any guesses as to which surface it was?
