The Catholic Church is the only church NOT to have changed its doctrine with regards to artificial birth control. Every other denomination has caved, starting with the Anglican church at the Lambeth Conference of 1930, where contraception was at first permitted only under strict circumstances.

I believe that the Church's position hasn't changed that condoms should not be used as a form of birth control. However, if the husband has AIDS I believe the Church may OK the use of condoms but only because of the transmittal of the virus NOT for birth control.
