  • i doubt statistics are kept on things like this; however, i'll take a guess: i'll say that 30% of people read frequently and average 12 books per year. the other 70% average about 1 book per year. there are about 6.5 billion people currently living. 30% of that is 1.95 billion times the 12 books they each read a year is 23.4 billion books. 70% of the population is 4.55 billion each reading 1 book is 4.55 billion books that's a total of 27.95 billion books read each year. not sure how accurate it is, but that's my guess
