Do you always look at the category before answeing a question or do you sometimes blunder in and give a wholly inappropriate response because you thought that it was about something completely different?

I look at the unanswered section and answer those questions. Does it matter what category it is in the question should say it all.

I just did exactly that! I do not usually do it but sometimes I screw up.

That happens once in a while, although I try to be alert and check the categories. There are some strange surprises sometimes...

I have made the blunder of not reading the question carefully and giving an answer for a different question by the same poster.I usually fix it by cutting and pasting it under the correct question. You can answer 10 questions in a row humorously and look at the categories for some of the questions and detect that the poster was looking for serious answers. I answered a question earlier about what was the first thing that Adam said after being created. The category was "religions" but I bet their will be plenty of joke answers for that question.
