  • Our intestines are not of sufficient length to completely process an all-vegetation diet. Compare the length with that of the rabbit, which is decidedly longer, in fact, and even more in comparison to our comparative sizes. Our eyes are in the front of our skulls, providing binocular vision suitable for hunting, and not placed on the sides of the skull as would be appropriate for vegetarian prey species. We are predators. Our teeth are designed for biting, cutting, and chewing meat as well as crushing vegetable foods, indicating an omnivorous evolution. Even with all this, we should control our meat intake carefully and ingest a proper blend of meats, nuts, grains, vegetables, fruits, etc. to obtain a well-rounded diet.
