That would depend on my age and my circumstances.

Try to locate a counselor or other unrelated adult whom you trust and discuss the situation with them.

I'd get an abortion, anyway. Granted, it would be harder if I were a minor (I'm not), but I certainly would get one anyway. I would have no intention of having a child. (I have had an abortion, but when I was 19.)

well i know of two legal drugs that would easily cause a miscarriage so i think that would be my first plan of action

In many states, being old enough to get pregnant also means you are old enough to have an abortion without your parents consent. In my opinion, that would be the wrong choice, but it probably is available to you. Call the Community Services agency in your area and ask them.

Talk to a counselor ....big big decisions need to be made.

i hate the thought of giving kids up for adoption. abortion would be better. what is your moms reasoning? do what you think is right not your mom.
-
As firebrand said it would depend on my age and circumstances. Assuming I was over 16, I would take my mother's advice into consideration, but ultimately it would be my decision and I would do what I felt best.

I say when its your body and your life you do what you need to do. No one else should have the right to tell you what you can do in a situation like that. I know people will disagree with me on this, but even if you are a minor, I think since you were old enough to lay down with someone you are old enough to make a decision about your life. Whether you feel like you need to get an abortion or put the child up for adoption.

i'm 25, i'd get an abortion. there are places teens can go to get one without mom...if i were a teen, i'd go to those places. Tell my mom i miscarried. (i see you are 21. do what you want. It's your choice)

My mom had actually curse me out and ask me why did I get pregnant so early, blah, blah, blah and told me to have an abortion, actually everyone I met and spoke to said the same thing which was soo sad. I stood my grounds, off course I was young (not too young)scared about what was to come, but I had my baby..and my mom told me afterwards that she was proud of me, that I make a great mother, my son was born on Mothers day in 2001. and I know he is the Biggest and Best Gift God would ever give me beside my own life.....

I am 46 , my mother is 78, I really don't think she would have a say.

Depnding on your age, and where you live, you may be able to get an abortion without your mom. Find out the laws where you live first. What mom thinks may become a non-issue. If you can not get an abortion without parental consent. I would research abortion, both the pros and cons, and present your mom with a fact based non-biased resoning as to why you would like to have an abortion. ********************************************************************* Is she willing to pay for all or your prenatal visits, so that you deliver a healthy baby to adopt out? What if you can not give the baby up at the last second, though you know right now that not being a mother is best for both of you (You and baby not you and mom)?

I would be grateful that someone cared enough to stop me from doing what I would regret for the rest of my life.
