  • Most likely, 2010 is very soon.
  • It will still be going strong in 2010. EQ is still putting out expansions and that game came out in 1999. Blizzards expansions are well put together so I see WoW being around for a long time. The only thing that will hurt WoW is another online game put out by Blizzard.
  • Probably. There's like 3 million people playing it now, and I haven't heard of any other games that might topple it. One of the Conans is in beta, but I doubt that one will be that great (saw preview at DragonCon and wasn't impressed). I'm retrying LOTR:Online now that I hit 70 in WoW. Got bored doing dailies. Hopefully Lich King will make it fun again.
  • Actually, there's over 10 million subscriptions. It's FAR surpassed any other MMO. There's been no talk of another big MMO coming out recently. I highly doubt it's possible to get over 10 million subscribers over a year and a half. Just look at this chart, WoW kills it's competition. http://www.mmogchart.com/Chart1.html
  • for sure - with the expansion coming out in 2009 they'll be hitting the added end-game stuff in 2010, and likely preparing another expansion for late 2011.
  • Lets hope not.
