You see, Officer, I was trying to take the cat to the vet, and the cat doesn't like cars. So I put the cat in the kitty carrier, and I was walking him to the car, but I guess I didn't have the lid on tight, because he squirmed around and the bottom fell off the carrier, and he ran past the car and up my tree. Anyway, to make a long story short, the cat jumped out of the tree, through the sunroof of the car, managed to pop the transmission out of gear, which is why the car rolled into the path of the semi truck, which swerved and hit the neighbor's house, which blew up because it was really a meth lab, which took the gas line with it, which took the whole street with it. And that's how I have a canyon for a backyard.
