  • No Babies don't go to Hell for the actions of others - NO
  • If I remember my Christianity correctly, didn't they implement baptism to prevent that?
  • No babies do not go to hell . Original sin is supposed to be that with which we are born but no child can be blamed for anothers sin.
  • According to the doctrine of original sin, yes all are born in sin, including babies. Be aware however that not all Christian traditions teach this barbarous idea. For example the Eastern Orthodox traditions do not have the doctrine of original sin.
  • babies dont have the sense to know what sin is. or what good and evil is. so how could a baby go to hell
  • The Catholic church I was brought up in (and thankfully left for good) teaches everyone is born with original sin, yes, but if the baby dies before baptism, he/she goes to a mythical place called "Limbo". Those xians have an answer for everything.
  • I guess I could be flippant and suggest intrauterine baptism but I seriously hope that no religion would be so cruel as to condemn a completely innocent baby to such a horrendous fate just because he or she died too early to be baptized. I think that most of the right-to-lifers are Christian but I've never heard of them claiming that abortion is immoral because the unborn child would go straight to hell so perhaps there is a ceremony whereby babies are spared that fate. Perhaps a priest or other religious designate performs a certain last rite so that the child can go to heaven instead.
  • (Rom 14:14) I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean. A baby cannot conceptualize any thing to be unclean.
  • Everyone was born under sin. That is everyone has the natural tendency to sin, that is to plan or do an action that is not according to God's will, as opposed to everyone that is born is a sinner. Babies does not have the ability to plan nor act on their own. Jesus pointed this out in Luke 18:16/Mar 10:14/Mat 19:14. Babies are guiltless and have no sense of willful disobedience. And no even infant baptism can not remove from the baby to sin when he becomes older, such is a useless tradition of men. Only Christ can redeem men from sin, not any man can do anything about it. (Eph 2:8).
  • It's so much easier not to be Christian. Far less complicated. I think anyone who believes in original sin has to not be very bright.
