Of course! Kids aren't stupid you know! But there's some secrets they keep cos some sick adult has told them about the bad things that'll happen to them or their siblings if they tell what nasty thing was done to them. Any young person reading this answer, "IT'S OK TO TELL" no matter what has been said to you.

Yes... And it doesn't necessarily have to do with "the bad touch"... Kids do things they KNOW their parents would punish them for doing, so they don't tell. ;-)

yes, for example my friend chris, skipped a grade and is in advance placement classes, he has all A's and B's ad spends alot of time in the library, hes technilogicaly intelligent and gets along with his peers. <-What his parents know What i know -> Chris cheats his ass off, never really went threw a single class without cheating, he illegely downlads entire games and $300 files off the internet and has to know cumputers in order to do it, he plans to spend a year of idleness after highschool in order to be with others his age, he will smoke pot in college and steals mass amount of music and programs. :)

I am almost certain they do..I have always let my kids know that they can tell me anything..that does not mean they did. But if something is troubling them at least they know I am there, will listen and do what I can to help them.

I can't say all children but yes some do and that is why anytime your child is acting differently than their normal or you suspect something bad is going on, you should investigate.

Of course they do, but most are just kids stuff, little things they like to keep to themselves. And some kids keep big things from their parents. Things they do wrong and don't want them to do and sometimes bad things that happen to them.

Of course, everybody, even children, have secrets they would rather not share with anybody, even their parents. I don't see anything wrong in this, actually I think it's important the parents respect their children's secrets, unless it appears to be something serious. But well.. I don't have any children yet. I might be wrong ;)

i am a child and i keep secrets from my parents!!!! i am not dum and some of the stuf i do is not itelegent or clever and i am not proud!! i still dont tell the parents! also somestuff the parents feel no need to know and i feel now need to tell them!!!

They sure do and my son decided to tell me all he did that I didn't know about and wish he kept it a secret.

I do. My friends do too. It's usually small stuff, but sometimes it's stuff that we'll definitely get punished for.

Yes, my parents didn't know about me being abused, or being a cutter until I was 18.
