Help answer this question below.

Something has been leaving long meandering "slime trails" all over the carpet in my house. However it looks more like thin webbing rather than that of a snail. Are spiders known to do this? Is it another insect?

    ive had the same problem and found out it was slugs. what i did to stop it was put salt down were they were coming in and ive not had any problems since
