Does it drive you crazy when people use 'whom' just to sound intelligent. It drives me crazy. Half the time no one uses it correctly.

Actually, it really annoys me when people use English improperly. Whenever I realize that I should say "whom" before it's too late, I always do. I don't always do well at speaking properly, but I always write properly because I can go back and fix my mistakes. For me, it's not a matter of trying to impress anyone with my intelligence; I just prefer to use my language correctly.

how do you use 'whom' anyway? i never use it because i'll use it wrong and then sound like an idiot, the opposite of its intended effect. i don't like it either. people sound snobby when they say 'whom.'
