I am a medical receptionist and honestly....... I think you should be prepared.... I know that as a Medical Receptionist we are not allowed to give BAD results of tests out over the phone, nor are doctors, therefore you being called in may not be a good thing.

I'm sure I would be quite concerned.

I wouldn't be scared until I found out what was wrong. Its probably something that can be taken care of if treated ASAP. Put your clothes on & get on it girl, let us know what the doc says ok. We'll be praying just in case but I'm sure its something thats not to bad. Maybe she won't be in Monday(or he) & they want to go ahead & see you now. My moms doc does that, scares us to death because they just want to tell her the results of her tests in person, she has to drive an hour away & they won't tell her on the phone. He sees most his patients at the hospital. BTW, what kind of tests did you have?

Honestly I was scared. Last year i went to the Doctor and they called my aunt the next day and told her to get me up to the Emergency Room Immediately. they found out i had Pnumonia and my Blood levels weren't good so they Hospitalized me. Usually when they call someone in, it is not a good thing

Yep. That would freak me out.

Don't be freaked. Usually they have a test result that needs either investigation or correction. Sometimes it is just a matter of an IV and some electrolytes. If thye don't tell you to go in and something serious happens like you seize, they would be liable. Also, if you go back to their ofice, they can't always do much, you need the special talents of the hospital staff. The ED is the fastest way to get admitted or out patient care.
