Sadly, no. She got way to far into drugs and ended up losing her children in the process. I decided I could not afford to keep such company and had to stop hanging around her. I hope she is doing well, though. We were VERY close for about 15 years :(

Yes, occasionally. She lives in the next town, but the problem is that we all grew up and she didn't. All she ever wants to talk about is how drunk she got, she never even mentions her son, and now she is pg again and yes still drinks and other "things". It's sad and I can't handle the stress she causes and being the only one concerned for her child, so I backed out and only talk to her when I have to.;-{

My best friend in high school started using cocaine in 11th grade, that was over 30 years ago. I removed myself from her company because of the drugs. I have tried to find her to see if she is well, but have had no luck. Believe it or not, I still miss her, I have only had two friends my whole life and she was one of them. When I think back, I should have tried to help her, I wish I would have known how.

Not only by best friend in HS, but also there are about seven of us and it's over fifty years since school days. And a few college friends, and three army buddies. And it's much closer than talk. We (HS boys) get together almost monthly. My talent is keeping friends. Friends are the best part of my life, after Mrs. Stronghart. And sometimes better. Wow! After I wrote this I realized that I said "seven" of us. There were seven now we're four. I guess the others are still with me in spirit.

I know many of them. I have been friends with my best friend Jared since I was 5, Mel since about 7, and I still keep in touch with a few others, just not so close.

Just one, and I hope to never lose her. She and I were closer than sisters for a long time. It's harder now because we live so far apart, but I still feel she knows me better than anyone else on the planet, including my husband. By the way, if anyone remembers my question awhile ago about being blown off by an old friend, it was her, and we got it sorted out. :-)

Yes, one of them. But she doesn't write to me or call me, I only see her when I'm in the area. I wish she would write or call. Not that I don't have plenty of friends, but the early ones are special.

yes, I still know some. Seems the ones that were worth knowing in the first place tended to stick... The rest, were never worth the time they took to know in the first place.
