How about moving our battlefields to the chess board? No one dies...countries don't get it debt...and whoever wins doesn't draw blood. Chess takes thought, planning, vision and execution. Why not train our kids to play chess?

Great idea, but it's too logical. A big messy war keeps people distracted from what's REALLY going on. You don't really expect them to RESOLVE anything, do you?

Thats an excellent idea :) However, only the countries with the chess masters would win though. I think it would be great to teach kids to play chess, its a great game of logical thought and not many people in my school know how to play it!!!

When no one dies and there's no great expense involved, no one minds losing. We should re-institute carpet bombing to make civilian populaces more than mere spectators, when their own lives are at risk they're much less likely to support war. Hearts and minds.

Yeah, I think if they taught chess in schools, and the children developed an early love for it, we would be producing more thoughtful, controlled generations..
