  • For me, it was finding who sang songs used in commericials that brought me here. Then I found people were asking and didn't know, so I started answering them. I also asked about those I couldn't find anywhere. After a while (a few weeks, I think), I hit the front page, saw some questions not in that category I could answer, and signed on. After answering some, I asked a couple. THEN I noticed the points system, and started looking for more questions I felt I could answer, either seriously or to make a reader laugh, and watched my points climb. Now, I think I'm hooked.
  • My problems related to all stuffs.
  • I was brought to this website, like many others, by chance. A google search and then clicking on 1 link that lead to another link and then another and magically answerbag.com was there on my browser. I signed up and it was about 35 minutes before the validation email went to my email account. As soon as I was validated, I was running all over the place answering questions. I had noticed that there was a "Ask a Question" button at the top today early in the morning. So of course, I asked a couple questions. So far being on this site I have asked 2 questions and have answered 77 questions (that includes this one). Somehow I have generated 275 points and am 2 points away from level 3. Is that a good thing? I have no clue. But considering I signed up yesterday, I think that's a clear sign that I'm probably a nerd. Richard Shines
  • I had looked for answers on the topic of smelly front loading washing machines. I visited many sites. I noticed a large amount of people with the same problem during my search. I compiled my research ans solved my problem. I then thought back to all the others who had the same problem and decided to re-trace my search steps and share my solution. I came back here and had to create an account to answer the question. Then I saw the points system and was excited. Once I found the Auto section I was hooked. I answer many more questions than I ask, and I ask them mostly to make people laugh http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/2228190 I just wish I didn't need to sleep!
  • I was Googling the lyics of a song one day a few years ago, and one of the links was to a question on Answerbag. I signed up and then asked a question about the lyrics to a song. Ironically, they were very strict in the early days of Answerbag, and my question was rejected because they didn't allow questions about song lyrics back then, even though people had managed to sneak song lyric questions in.
  • I searched Google for XBox information. AB has an XBox category. I joined March 9th of 2007. My first answer was March 12th. My first question was March 14th, which I received no answers.
