I used to react in the comment threads. But you know what, it's an exercise in futility. When someone does that to me, instead of commenting, I just moderate. It's more productive.

I kill them with kindness. I don't think I've had an actual tit-for-tat with anyone here and in any event it got to the point that they were rude to me beyond any reconciliation I've just walked away from the whole ordeal. It keeps me sane AND I don't make any enemies. I find it to be a win-win situation.

I try to give them the benefit of the doubt. For example, if I've replied to their question and they reply back that my answer was totally inappropriate, I reread the question and their additional details and apologize for my mistake. If they kept beating me up about it I'd simply ignore them and move on, if they're conciliatory I'd try to provide as best an answer as possible.

I ignore them and smile:)

Hmmmmm. I love coming here to be inquisitive and to share whatever it is that I know. I am very friendly to almost everyone. Do I care if people are rude to me? In a word............ ummm............ NO.

I just ignore them. I said , I just ignore them. Hey! I don't pay any attention to them. Somethin wrong with this computer? I ignore them. What is the point of askin somethin and then ignorin the answers? Man, that is like, so rude.

Whatever it is I do seems to lead straight to the Penalty Box. Penalty Box count: 5

By being rude back to them. My over-sensitivity combined with my passive aggressive reactions have resulted in two fights in comment threads so far... as well as a down-rating war that was completely pointless and biased towards the other person as they are on a higher level than me. It doesn't perturb me too much though, It's just a blank computer screen as far as I'm concerned.

I ignore them because they're only trying to lure you into an endless argument which is usually based on opinions and not facts.
