Hi again guitarman, apart from obvious differences of opinion for individuals that have never been there, or have no connection to the country and get information from media etc.; it differs greatly between expat South Africans. I see conflicting opinions from South Africans living abroad in the media here often, some are still very positive but most do not see a future for themselves 'back home' ever again.

South Africa is perceived by different populations in different ways. It all depends if they have visited or not. Some believe as I found back in Britain that most white people out of RSA are racists. We all know that this could not be further from the truth. Also the perception is today that Apartheid has only been reversed, this will not help the economy as we can see this in the world market. My only hope is that things improve politically but I am not a racist but a realist. It does not look like happening. GOD BLESS SOUTH AFRICA. She is going to need it.
