It's not bad to want to have children -- I think it's very natural. The only bad thing is to have a family you're not prepared for --either emotionally or financially. If you and your significant other have differing opinions on when to start a family, though, I'd wait until you reach a compromise.

you are so young. Everyone wants a kid at some stage but then that feeling passes. honestly, while you are young and free, enjoy your freedom. Go see the world and different places, enjoy having drinks with friends, enjoy being able to go where you want right now. Dont be in a hurry to settle down so young. xx

You are still a child. Having one of your own is a major responsibility, both emotionally and financially. Live your life for a few years with your boyfriend. Wait until you both get yourselves on your feet. You have plenty of time to have a child.

Leave it a few years, you wont regret it.

You need to be physically, emotionally, and financially ready to have a child. Can you physically look after the child? Will you have to work? Who will be with the child while you're working? Are you prepared to give up your social life for a long time? Are you and your partner emotionally and mentally ready to have a child? Both of you will have a lot of sleepless nights while the child is young. Is your partner fully invested in the idea? If you pressure him into starting a family, he might end up leaving. Don't make him do something before he is ready, and don't do anything before you are ready either. You can't decide you don't want the child and toss it away, it is a LIFETIME commitment. Financially ready? Can you support a child? It is irresponsible to procreate when you cannot look after your own kids. Do you have any idea how expensive kids are? Are you prepared to work, and spend almost your entire income on your child? Is your job secure? Is your boyfriend's job secure? Will your job give you maternity leave? I'd say your guy has the right idea. Wait 5 years or so.
