I do not believe that there is any method for Dolphins to be taught theconcept of theology in the sense that we know it.
-
no
-
we can never know as no dolphin can tell us.
-
if they wanted to yes
-
I'm guessing they have better things to do...
-
Dolphins aren't stupid.

Interesting question. Frankly, we don't know. It is all speculation. They do not exhibit any behavior indicative of religious belief or ritual that I am aware of. Of course, like everything else, dolphins are Deity, but that doesn't answer whether or not they have the capacity to believe in Deity.
-
No they can't. Although it seems popular for people to say "dolphins are more intelligent than humans", it falls on a few issues...firstly, dolphins are far more instinctive than humans rather than leartn behavior (infact, elephants actually have the least amount of instinctive behavior of any animal) and also there are other animals just as smart if not SMARTER than any dolphin, such as Elephants, Apes etc yet they never are said to be by many people "they are smarter than us". Dolphins are popular, so people make up all sorts, whether factual or not. So no...dolphins can't believe in God.
-
Dolphins don't appear to suffer from delusional thinking in the same way as humans do.
-
Perhaps. We really have no way to know.

God dwells in all creation. Animals are manifestations of the same Divine spirit as human beings. We should therefore honour the divine presence in animals, which is not to worship their outer form. No one, even the so-called primitive savage, considers that the animal state is the highest condition for the soul. Hinduism respects the Divine presence in animals. It recognises that animals project certain cosmic energies through the Divine Self present within them. Animal images appear in Hinduism for their archetypal and poetic value, not as a mere worship of lower forms of life. Respect for the God in animals, which includes picturing the God in animals, is part of any universal teaching. Animals also have a soul, a mind and a personality. Unless we can see the Conscious Being in all creation, we do not really see. We do not really know ourselves, nor will we function as a humane and compassionate presence in the universe. Quoted from "Hinduism: The Eternal Tradition (Sanatana Dharma)" by David Frawley http://www.shaktimarg.com/confused/animalGods.html According to the Hindu tradition, 'a jiva (from the stage of a protozoan, perhaps) attains competence for a human body after undergoing 8,400,000 births (in lower forms of life). Brihad Vishnu Purana gives the details. http://www.vedanta-newyork.org/articles/concept_of_evolution.htm GNOSTIC BELIEFS: By misconduct and neglect in life, a human being can descend downward (transmigrate) to a lower form of being which it once emerged from. Thus, a human soul can inhabit a sub-human body. Such a descent may involves a loss of enormous time in the spiritual evolution process. http://alandpeters.tripod.com/id21.html

When dolphins learn the art of human language and communication, then we will never know. And what practices do these species to predict such a belief?
-
No, because dolphins have not yet developed a way of thinking that would enable such belief. Only the human kind have this capacity. Its just in the way our brains evolved, therefore, maybe one day, we'll be able to find a christian dolphin. lol!
-
If he's not a metaphysician! ;-)
-
I think they don't need to believe in a God, because in their form they are God themselves. I believe they are as close as gods as humans are, only they use their powers to make their lifes better rather than fighting or creating stuff all the time. Even if dolphins fight and are nasty, from time to time.
-
um.............. I'll have to get back to you on that one.
-
That's what Flipper told me.
-
Just released from a Japanese fishing net one might.
-
I might suggest that you call the Dolphin's Association Secretary and set up the very interview that might prove a complete revelation to man
