I am in Canada waching the U.S, primaries on Super Tuesday...I am confused. Re: All these projections of winners on CNN, do the eastern results influence the western ones which close later?

Not in state primaries. Each state is assigning their own delegates so the East/West effect that DOES play out in the general national election.
