Excuse the ignorance (to some)here. But who is he?
-
Sold it on ebay.

I don't think I'd keep it because it would cost a great deal to insure and protect. I'd give it to the Hall of Fame and write off the donation for a few dozen years on my taxes.
-
Sold it to the highest bidder.

I would give it to the hall of fame. I mean he did use steroids, but he still broke a record. there is no proof that he was on them when he hit the home run. Donating it to the hall of fame would be the best idea though because every piece (give or take a few) of baseball history is there, and i think that that was an important point in baseball history.
-
Give it to him in exchange for loads of memorabilia.

I would have offered it back to Bonds first and if he didn't want it I'd give it to Cooperstown.
