Are you implying that Jewish people are not humans? They don't celebrate Jesus' birth because they don't consider him a messiah. Not everyone on the planet is a Christian. Pilate chose to free Barabas based on the collective decision of the crowd. They (it is believed) felt Jeus was a political threat whose preaching would bring the wrath Rome down on them in a land that was occupied. They were frightened. There is, of course, also the theory that Jesus chose to die and everyone else was simply a participant in his mission.
