I have dreams where I realize I am dreaming and I can navigate thru the dream and even wake myself up..Is this called "lucidity"...?..I am asleep and dreaming; and I all of a sudden realize I am dreaming and then I can alter my events in my dream as I go.

This a great position to be in. Since I can remember I have been able to intercept my dreams. I have developed an ability to pick up dreams where I last left them the night before and, if I try really hard, I can dream about things and people :) I choose.

yeah, it's called a lucid dream. You are at an advantage than most people. Sometimes you have a combination of dreams, both regular and lucid. Normally with dreams they delve into issues that are going on in your life, buth conscious and subconscoius. How your dream progresses gives you insight to your issues and things that are going on in your life, as well as how to overcome problems. Basically dreams give you answers to underlying issues. The difference with lucid dreaming is that you interact and force the dreams into to the direction that you want it to go, hence the ability to on a certain level cause action in your waking life. With lucid dreaming you can interact with people that you meet in a regular basis, and you could also ask them questions and receive answers while you are in the lucid dream. So basically as an example, let's say that you want to know if someone likes you, or whatever question that you have you can interact with the person in the lucid dream and basically get answers to quesitons that you have.
