Okay it's an old case of "do and I say - not as I do". Just because I always tell everybody what to do doesn't mean I have to do it to. Someone has to supervise. I elect me.

these people are called no it alls. they may have right answers, most the time, they think they know it all and are always right, so why would they need to take their own advice, if u ask them, there right anyway.

I am guilty as charged sometimes. Trying to work on it though. I hae repeatedly told people who have asked for advice about age differences in relationships that as long as both are adults age is only a number and no one should allow a significant difference in age stand in their way of love. Yet I myself find it very difficult to even think about being with someone significantlly younger than myself.

Isn't it easier to look in from outside, see what is going on and know the right course of action that should be taken. However, the right course of action isn't always the easiest or more pleasant route, so when it comes to our own decisions we often just take the easiest route.

They don't trust themselves enough. They think somebody else knows more about them than they do and has better advice for them. Not usually true.

I would say it is fear and insecurity. You know you should change it, logically, but emotionally, you cant do it, because you are afraid.
