  • They are real and unaltered. I have seen a nebula through a light telescope (which could not have been altered) and it was an intense shade of green. It was pretty tiny though. But the Hubble telescope has a much larger mirror and is outside of the Earth's atmosphere, so it would have much better magnification and clarity.
  • They're real, and they're spectacular. Hopefully the repair will go well and we can keep getting such gorgeous pictures for awhile longer.
  • The pictures are real, but they do add colour to make them look better, they use special light techniques to determine what the colors actually are and then add the colour, so yes they add the color but its because the hubble take pics in black and white. It can see really far into space for one because its a huge telescope and also because its in space itself so the atmosphere isnt causing it to be blurry,
  • I love pictures about space, the moon, the galaxies ..... All those pictures are so wonderful. You can find some Hubble telescope pictures here: http://www.history.com/media.do?action=clip&id=mm_ed_hubble_broadband I think there was an amateur astronomer that once said: When I watch the beautiful evening sky I am absorbed and amazed as I see how Canis Major follows Orion westwardly across the evening sky. How Gemini and Arigua look so beautiful next to each other. How when Cassiopeia starts to hide and decline the Big Dipper starts to show and rise. http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/569710
