If someone were to kidnap me and put me in their car, what could I do to escape?

Depends on what part of the car your in. If you get locked in the trunk there is a glow in the dark latch on the inside of newer model cars, you just pull that and the trunk will open. If you get locked in the trunk of an older model car, you will need to kick out the tail lights and stick your hand out the hole and wave like crazy. If the kidnapper is in the backseat or your vehicle when you get in, put your seat belt on a gun it. You need to run into the biggest thing you can, hopefully you'll have an airbage but the dick in the backseat should be screwed. I hope you never get kidnapped!

It depends on the circumstances of the kidnapping. if you are blindfolded, listen for familiar sounds, like road noises, rr tracks, train whistles, music...anything to advise the police, once you make contact.

Always carry a cellphone. leave the phone unlocked and have a pre-set 911 button to activate. when and if you have the opportunity, press the 911 button. the police may not know your exact location, only the last tower transmission. once the police operator answers, try to give as much info. as possible, if you can. if you cannot talk, leave the phone activated. your sounds are being recorded and will be played back to help track your location.

Go along with the kidnapper(s). without you, their kidnapping demands are useless.

Keep your cool. do not panic and use your head. remember words that are being spoken. remember voices to describe later.

If you are placed, in the trunk of autombile and your hands are free, most newer auto models have an escape latch installed. wait till the time is right and pull the latch.

The bottom line is this, initially, you are going to have to defend for yourself. try to escape, but make it count. you probably will never have another opportunity, untill the police locate you.

You could try to kick or punch out the tail lights and then stick an arm or leg out to try to attract attention

If not tied-up, I could quickly get out and make a run for it, trying to get someone's attention to help me. However, If I am tied-up, that make it a little harder of couse. I would see If I can wiggle out of the rope that is tied around my hands and feet. If not gagged, I could yell for help, But more then likely I would be gagged.

One dude gotcarjacked in Utah recently and rearended a sheriff car. Got the sheriff's attention double time.

In 2003, I was kidnapped. In less than a 10 minute time period, I was grabbed and carried to the trunk of a car (the kidnappers car) and while they were trying to take me at first, I fought with them to get away, this made them so angry that they took me and one of the three kidnappers grabbed my upper body while another grabbed my legs. I kept telling them not to kidnap me (I was 29 and was married for 2 years by then and had 2 children). I knew that they were kidnapping me because of what they were doing to me, and so that is why I was hollering as loud as I could not to kidnap me. Yet, they managed to get me to the trunk of the car and then they immediately tied my hands behind me, tied my feet and then tied my legs (around my thigh areas) and duct taped my mouth and blindfolded me. They also had me at gun point while taking me to the car. All total, the kidnapping took place in less than 10 minutes and my kidnapping lasted for around 5 months until they shot me 12 times.

Don't let yourself get put in the car in the first instance, make as much noise as possible to attract attention and you have to fight and make as much of a disturbance as possible to attract attention. Once you get put in that car, the odds of you surviving go down dramatically.
