  • Don't worry, that makes it worse, the more you worry the more chance you will have an attack. The best advice I can give is to see your doctor, there are many good treatments availiable, you can get your life back :-) Good Luck.
  • I think that a panic attack is like a pimple, it comes when it wants to and you really have no control. I believe there are anti-anxiety medications you can take but this would have to be regular and probably long term. My husband gets anxiety attacks and it usally has something to do with stress. Work is just full of stressful situations.
  • I suffer from panic attacks/ anxiety and I can relate to your concerns. I am on long term medication therapy. I am taking Effexor XR which really works for me. It is extremely rare for me to have a panic attack or severe anxiety while taking this medicine. If left untreated, it does effect my ability to think rationally and effects my work. I suggest you make an appointment with a doctor and get this taken care of as soon as possible. If the doctor prescribes medication you can receive financial help for the prescribed drug through Wyeth.com. I get my 90 day prescription free of charge and it is even mailed to me. Your doctor will be able to supply you with samples until your prescription arrives. (ASK for samples!!!) It's a real relief! Wyeth will mail you information and a form for you and your doctor to fill out. It may take up to 2 weeks for everything to get going, but by that time you should be receiving your first 90 day supply. I wish you the best. (PS: Wyeth.com also helps with a number of other prescription drugs too. Check it out.) Good luck!
  • i used to get panic attacks. the best thing i did was concentrate on something, anything other than the panic attack, and take deep breaths. you might try rescue remedy or something?
  • Your doctor can find out why you are having panic attacks perhaps your heart, blood pressure or thyroid may need test or it may simply be too much stress your sniffing remedy is what may have you in this situation now only sniff oxygen
