Not if she is using her real name, and says so. Then it would be clear which twin is pictured. She should probably also mention that in addition to liking walking wet kittens along the beach in the rain, she has a twin. :o)

LOL, you make a wonderful point. I'd say, YES. I guess.

Hmm, that's an interesting question. I've never thought about that before. I would say no, not necessarily. I mean they're identical twins, but it's still not the other sister's "actual" body that would be in the photos. Though they're twins, they're still individuals with different bodies...so they can do as they choose.

Morally yes .

Personally, I don't think anyone should pose for such photos, but every one has a right to choose how to live their lives and such activity is not illegal. However, the situation you propose add a significant wrinkle to the situation. The potential for confusion here could also affect the life of the twin that does not pose for the pictures. She could have her own reputation tarnished as people mistake here for her twin. She could be subjected to frequently having to explain that it was not her in the pictures and being harassed by fans and paparazzi who mistake her for her sister. So, I think that the one twin would have a moral obligation to at least discuss such a decision with her sister. If for no other reason than to worn the sister of the potential disruption that this could cause in her own life.

Well, since I'm a twin I guess I should answer this question. If my sister did pose, which I'm pretty sure she wouldn't, she wouldn't have to ask for my permission. Like previously stated, we are individuals and are not "one person" with an identical body.
-
I don't think she should ask because of any clear moral reasons, but if she does not ask, she could eventually have some legal consequences if her sister is offended. So it would certainly be better to ask.

My answer is no because her body is her body. How is it her fault that they both look identical? As for posing nude for a magazine, I don't think that's a good idea for anyone, but whatever floats your boat.
