Courthouse records are a legal way of doing it.

You will have to file your marriage license with the county recorder, which is public record, and anyone can access. So, my question to you would be, why would you want to hide your marriage for your parents? Either you are a mature, responsible adult who is ready for marriage, or not. However, I can't see any reason for a mature responsible adult to HIDE their marriage from their parents. That sounds like a teenager who runs away to wed illegally out of state! I say if you can't face your family with decision, you shouldn't be making it!

what is the point of getting married if your parents can't know about it? And yes they can find out through taxes. You don't want to lie on your taxes do you? Ugh! Messy. Don't tell me you are still living with them and they are still claiming you and you're not even ....oh god, are you going to be living with them while you are married???

Why hide it? It could cause a lot of hurt feelings.
