  • You need to also uninstall "Activation for Office 2007" part. Windows vista has quite a few issues with previous office versions, and I have heard it's best to uninstall the new one as soon as you get it - but you cant go back in time to do this now. So, I would uninstall all of the Office versions you currently have installed using "Remove Programs" in the Control Panel. Remove the Activation for Office 2007, and try reinstalling your Office version that you have a license for. Currently Vista only supports Office 2007 and 2003 - I dont think it supports XP, and definitely not Office 2000 or 97. If all else fails, use OpenOffice which can be downloaded free at http://openoffice.org :)
  • I agree mroarsome on the unistall bit, Vista is so picky, must get rid of all version that are trial and any you have tryed to install first and if it gives you the message you are not the administrator please try again when you try with new copy of software, try this. LOADING SOFTWARE IN VISTA Ever have that problem when trying to load your software in Vista and it goes clang, and message says: must be installed by Administrator. And you think to your self but I am the administrator and no one else is on the system. Thanks to Microsoft great idea there is a fail safe installed. 1. Go to Computer 2. Right Click on the software you are trying to open (on Launcher) 3. Find open on administrator, click This will allow the software to open now, should work for any legal software
  • just download openoffice and get freed of all that trial crapy software
  • If you haven't fixed this yet here are a few more suggestions: Download and run ccleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/ after you uninstall to try and get rid of any registry crud left behind. You can also try disconnecting your computer from the internet and setting your system date and clock to a time before the trial expired and then try to reinstall the new version. It might help.
