Well, now, wouldnt that be something!! I guess I would have to come back as a ghost and tell all my family and friends!
-
Well then nothing would change for me. However if your wrong and there is a God. then i have a lot to look forward too.
-
This is actually a really neat question, because I have a feeling that if people were to answer it honestly they would see why arguing over which faith is 'right' is futile. If you sit back and think about it, it really wouldn't have much of an impact.
-
If that happened I would be able to run around and say to loads of people "I told you so". Unfortunatly I see no way he can ever be disproved. He could show himself and be proved to exist, but theories that govern his existence can and always will be adapted to fit what science says so he will never be disproved.

There are two parts to this question, one of which is an assumption that invalidates itself in some respects, namely that we are all a product of happenstance or randomness. Nature/Reality is not haphazard or random. At the same time there is absolutely no justification for, or need to impose the concept of a diety of any sort on the way things are in order to explain reality. Things are as they are, no god is needed to account for that and things are neither the whim of some almighty being nor are they simply random.

You'd never get believers in most of the world to accept that, even if you could logically / mathematically prove it. Maybe Buddhism would gain adherents.

If you read the Bible, you would see that this is not a concept that has never been considered. Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15: 12But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. 15More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. 16For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. 17And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. 18Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. 19If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men. 20But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. ============= Note the last verse: Paul saw Christ risen. Ergo, God exists.

Well I wouldn't be surprised, and I don't think anything would change much. I live my life as though there is no God anyway. However, one small criticism- I don't think that 'random' or 'happenstance' are the best words, but I'm probably just being feciscious!
-
then I'd be right and they'd be wrong..no big deal.

If that is the case, then I will have gone to the nothingness of death knowing that I lived my life in a better way than I might otherwise have done if I had not believed in God. I will also go without fearing death because I believed that my family was waiting for me on the other side with open arms. If God does not exist and there is no afterlife, then I will never know it because in the moment of death, I will simply cease to exist. If, on the other hand, my beliefs concerning God are correct, then I have not only received a great deal of direction in my life and comfort in times of trial, but I will also gain a great reward in the nest life. The way I see it, it is a win-win scenario. I loose nothing by believing in God, but I gain a whole lot.

I wouldn't know the difference. The end would just be the end. However, my life would have been a better thing because, whatever one's beliefs about a deity, the ethic offered by most theistic religions, if we go by the intent of the teachings and not the occasional distortions thereof, tends to improve life for the self and for others. Even people who don't believe in a god have been shaped by the culture, which has been shaped by the ethic. That's just my opinion - no offense.

As long as one requires a “proof” that God exists, one will not be found. Requirement to “find” or “see” God is having Faith. The “Faith” being key element and given as a “gift” from God indentifies Him and also reveals all the attributes (grace, love, mercy etc…) to which our God given Spirit responds and yields seeking fellowship with it’s maker. The flesh, (human Body) is not you, what dwell inside is... Intellect does not cut it here, Faith does. Who can have Faith and how do you get it? Romans 12:3 – Bible – (KJV) For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Romans 12:2-4 (in Context) Romans 12 (Whole Chapter) Look closely at the children; they are full of it until we (Adults) turn them into a stone…
