Supposing you were PB'd for 2 years, how would you feel and would you return here after the penalty had been served?

Anyone ever been placed in the AB penalty box? I've just returned and I have no idea what to change in order to not return again.

You're reading I have seen the phrase " the penalty box" quite a few times in the last two days. Can someone please explain to me what is the penalty box and what it is used for? Is this some kind of correction method that is employed in Answerbag?

I agree. That seems ridiculous.

From what I can see you were put in the PB for attacking (not offending) other users and using profanity in a post, which is what should have been said on the notifications you received, so the way not to re-offend would be to make a point of always being reasonable in your discussions, not calling people names and not using bad language. Whether you take that advice or ignore it is, of course, entirely up to you.

At whom are you aiming your comment, Brian? Me or ZiggyStardust?
by marley13 on January 4th, 2011
It was directed at Ziggy - sorry, I didn't think I needed to specify that when he has been in the box and you haven't.

Oh, ok. Sorry for the misunderstanding...

Brian, I understand but I still feel like the description "Attacking other users & using profanity" is a little vague. Obviously it can be quite easily avoided, so it's my own fault really... The thing is in my mind a lot of the answers I give could potentially get me penalised, It would just be nice to get some specifics to determine exactly where "the line" is.
