  • No. No. Unlikely. HIV/AIDS spawned a huge research industry. People are studying it all over the world. Even if there was political motivation in one country -- another country would have a different political reality. Even if the scientific understanding is wrong -- we still know the high-risk behaviors that can lead to HIV infection. That is determined through statistical analysis. The only people that are dying of AIDS these days, are the ones that for one reason or another, don't take their meds, and continue making lifestyle choices that further suppress their immune system.
  • No, the research is not flawed. There are plenty of scientists that have the same conclusion: HIV is a real virus.
  • No, I think it is a virus...not like the flu virus...but similar in the way it is understood,,,scientists may have a clue as to how it started...probably in the realm of RNA...but they either have a cure, and are not sharing because sharing it is..not economically advantageous; they have a cure, and it has not been tested; the one they have found can create something else, or they don't friggin have a clue because the science of DNA and RNA is not so old ....Read about RNA and DNA, and you will be amazed.
  • No. That hypothesis, which has a moments plausibility in the early days of AIDS research, has now been thoroughly disproved. The structure and mode of operation of the HIV virus is now very well understood, the stages of infection very well traced. What was a perfectly honourable skeptical viewpoint in the days when the disease first appeared is now straightforward counterfactual denial. Some people doubted that Columbus had found a new continent - I don't think anybody credibly denies the existence of America now.
