Will she go on her own? Or is it that not only won't she say she needs to go but she wont go either? Maybe you could make a point of taking her after every meal or at certain times throughout the day. Or you can use a reward system. They can be time consuming but after a while it will become a habit for her to go. Try not to make it a big deal, a lot of fuss and attention may make her continue doing it.

well... i work at a nursery, and what we do is put up a aticker chart, and every time they go to the toilet they get a sticker. once the chart is filled, they get a prize.... sometimes a "refresher" course is needed, but it just takes patience.

I would make my 3 year od sit on the toilet till she needed to go. She had the same habit. But then when she learned sitting on the toilet for a while was no fun, she learned to tell me when she needed to go.

i used to keep a bowl of skittles on the bathroom sink; after going potty and washing hands~they could get skittles~ 2 skittles for #1 and 4 skittles for #2 :) worked with all 3 of my boys.

Watch her carefully and if she starts looking as if she needs to "go" take her to the toilet or the potty.

Ask her frequently if she needs to go potty and make using the plumbing a positive experience by helping her and praising her for successes. Help her feel that it is important to potty on the toilet and not in her clothes. This will help her develop an awareness about herself and not feel that going to the bathroom is something she can put off forever until it's too late. Given the opportunity to do things properly, she will eventually understand that messing up her clothes is less comfortable than using the toilet.
