I am a 17 year old boy and i am dating a 14 year old girl turning 15 in 3 months and i will be 18 in july. Is it illegal for us to date if we do not have sex? I live in oregon if that helps.

I think you need to sit down and discuss this with her parents. As long as you have their parental consent to see their daughter you should be fine. If her parents like you, you shouldn't have any problem at all legal wise.

It is not illegal for you to date...it is illegal to engage in sexual intercourse until you BOTH are are 18 or legally married based on your state's age requirement. Remember, if you have sex with this young girl, there is a possibility that, if caught and charged with statutory sexual assault, you may have to register as a sex offender....makes finding employment, places to live, etc. a real pain in the butt.

No. Not at all. MY boy just broke it off with me for that crap he just turned 18 and i turn 15 tomorrow, but i guess i wasn't worth it:l my parents liked him a lot and even told me if i was to get pregnant or something like that it would be my fault and she said it takes two to tango:)

No. It is not a crime to date. In fact you and her being 3 years apart your state could have a Romeo and Juliet law to protect you if you had sex as long as your both minors.

Answer there is yes. But with an additional provision. Make sure she doesn't so much as remove her shoes, a sweater or jacket. If she does you could be arrested for statutory rape. Had it happen myself. She had her shoes off warming her feet with the car heater. I was arrested. Her parents would not help the police prosecute. But I was run out of town by the police. Fact was we weren't even holding hands. And I had never so much as kissed her.

Romeo and Juliet provisions often span a two year age difference. Parents cannot consent to statutory rape, but if you don't have sex you shouldn't run into any problems.

If you're really not having sex with your significant other and she isn't the age of consent in Oregon don't even tell anybody your dating her... If you say you two are together you could get in some serious shit either with the law or even worse...her parents! Keep it on the down low if anything and if you think its bad now wait until you become a legal adult in July...It's not statutory if you keep it in your pants broheim...

you can go to jail because she is a minor and your grown but if you two dont tell anyone then you two dont have a problem if your girlfriend tell her mother then she will call the police and the might charge you for rape or some other charge

I would leave her she is not worth getting thrown in jail especially since she is only 14 or 15 she will change alot and may not even like u in a year so dont risk getting thrown in jail seriously

I believe it is and her parents can you have arested .So I will tread lightly. But personlly I would let her go and move on to someone closer to your age.
