...no...it means they're homophobes...or perhaps just put off but something they perceive as unusual.
I'm not gay, but I don't concern myself with the sexual preferences of others, regardless. I mean come on now...it's 2008 and it's time people learned tolerance. We're all trying to make our way in this world, right? I guess it's human nature to be interested in things that are not the "norm" to us (and norm is left open for personal definition) but I wish people would worry more about themselves instead of sticking their nose and unsolicited opinions where they don't belong.
I don't know why anyone cares that I am gay. I am only worried about who I'M having sex with..That pretty well fills up my sex quotient..I don't have time to worry about other peoples' sex drives.
There may be people out there who are somehow bothered by your sexual preferences. They are called busybodies and have probably stuck their long noses into MANY people's private business. They are also the ones who as kids expected you to follow their lead, smoke cigarettes in the bathroom with them, pull Kathy's pigtails, or be obnoxious in many other ways. They are generally subhumans you are better off not taking too seriously.
There are others who honestly believe that what you are doing is harmful for you, and wish to show you a better way of life. These will not judge you or mock/harm you, but only explain their beliefs and pray that you will understand. These people really do love you, so try to treat them with respect even if you disagree with them.
No. People who care about you will tell you when you are in the wrong. People who know better but keep silent and allow you to continue down a wrong path are not true friends to you. If they know better and keep silent, then they just don't care about you. But if they know better and speak up, at the risk of your displeasure, they are showing that they care for your highest good.
