  • Just because you didn't know they had it (or maybe they didn't even know) doesn't mean they didn't have it.
  • How do you know they didnt have it?
  • Because they HAVE been with someone who has herpes. They just didn't know it.
  • Not everyone with herpes has symptoms. I don't know if they're still contagous or not.
  • how to do half of america has it? unless you go and look up close it is hard to see,and some people only break out every 5 years give or take so they might not ever no they have it.
  • the answer is you can't. If the person tested has not ever been with anyone who has genital herpes, then they will not have it. The only way you can get it is by being with someone who has had it, or by being with someone who is a carrier from being exposed to someone who has it. There is a blood test you can get at your dr.s office or lab to test whether you have genital herpes or if you have been exposed to the herpes from a cold sore on the mouth due to having oral sex. This is a different type of herpes. There is 1 and 2. One you get from cold sores.... 2 you can only get if you have been with someone who has it or if you have been with someone who has been exposed due to being with someone else who has it and is a carrier of it. It can be very confusing.
