  • Absolutely, just check in with any American consulate and get a visa, better yet a American Express travel office, they can have this set up for you before you even leave. OR..you can do it on the fly, all it takes is a passport and most airports can issue the visa on the spot either on departure or arrival.
  • As a US citicen you may enter countries of the European Union (precisely countries which signed the Schengen treaty) as a tourist without a visa if you stay for less than three months within a six months period. You may also travel within the Schengen states with no furhter restrictions. You may need a visa for visiting states outside the EU like Egypt, so you better ask at the Egyptian consulate or embassy.
  • All countries are different as to visa requirements as it has to do with your nationality, not embarkation country that counts. This website will tell you specifically which countries visas are required: http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1765.html
