Theres a ring around the moon tonight (and to show that I'm not seeing things I'll post a picture in the comments). Does this have any myths and legands behind it that you know of?

some say it is a sign of bad weather-do believe it is not far off in that-not a sign but can be taken as such do to atmospere conditions that signal a change is coming and if its clear the only change can be to cloudy--just my thoughts- waiting for the picture hope it comes out clear--cool question smile and enjoy the night-have some points

i like to look at the moon every nite that its out. sometimes i take my 7 yr old daughter with her telescope out to look at the moon. with her telescope we can see all the little creators in the moon and its pretty neat.
