Do you ever have to say the whole alphabet to figure out what place a letter is, to do something alphabetical?

I never have to say the whole alphabet to figure out what place a letter is in because I have a good sense of what comes before and after each letter. I guess being "field tested" by the cops many times does have it's advantages.

no, but in a similar situation..when I was first learning to speak mandarin we had to sing songs..and often I would have to sing the whole song in my head in order to remember the word for 'friend'.
