This is a redundant term. A "human being" is a "human." The "being" is superfluous. In any case, a "being" exists, has life. A "human" or humanoid is a particular form of this "being." This comes from the Latin, homo: man. This also undermines the feminist movement to deprecate "man" from the language and constrain it to only be used to reference males of the species.
